Frigidaire Dishwasher Repair Near Sleepy Hollow, Dunedin: A Worn Circulation Pump

A regular client of ours in the Sleepy Hollow area of Dunedin called about their 7-year-old Frigidaire dishwasher — we’d previously repaired the door switch on this same unit. This time the complaint was noise: it had started running unusually loud partway through its cycle (see the video below).

Tracking down the noise

That kind of loud, grinding-type noise during the wash points at the circulation pump — the motor that pushes water up through the spray arms. Pulling it and checking it confirmed it had worn out.

Fixed on the spot

We had the replacement pump in stock, so we swapped it in the same visit.

Result

The dishwasher runs quietly again. Seven years in, this is a pretty normal wear item to need replacing — if your dishwasher has started running noticeably louder than it used to, a worn circulation pump is one of the first things worth checking.
