Samsung Refrigerator Repair in Boot Ranch: Fridge Section Not Cooling

A Samsung French door refrigerator for a longtime client in the Boot Ranch neighborhood of Palm Harbor had the fresh food section not cooling at all — sitting around 70°F.

A design we know well

This is a well-known issue on this Samsung French door design, and it’s one we run into and repair regularly. These refrigerators use a separate evaporator setup, and during the defrost cycle the ice doesn’t always clear completely. Over time it builds up at the top of the evaporator near the fan, and once it reaches the fan blades, airflow into the fresh food section gets blocked — which is exactly what causes the fridge section to stop cooling while everything else looks normal.

We see this failure often enough that we know exactly where to look and how to address it correctly — it’s a repair that’s easy to get wrong if you don’t know this specific design’s quirks, and a fix that doesn’t hold usually means the ice buildup is right back within a few weeks.
