Whirlpool Refrigerator Icemaker Repair in Palm Harbor: Jammed Mid-Cycle

The icemaker in a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator (model WRS325SDHW05) in Palm Harbor was jamming partway through its cycle. It would get stuck mid-harvest and stop ejecting ice, while the rest of the refrigerator kept cooling normally — temperature in both the fridge and freezer was fine throughout.

A jam like this, where the icemaker gets stuck instead of finishing its harvest cycle, usually comes down to something mechanical inside the icemaker module rather than the motor itself — often a plastic gear that’s stripped or broken.
