What we found

On an electric dryer like this one, the heating element is a long coil of wire that glows hot and warms the air blowing through the drum. When it burns out, the drum still spins and the dryer runs, but the clothes come out damp.

Here the old element was dark and scorched. That’s it on the bottom in the photo, next to the new Whirlpool factory part we brought.

The fix

We swapped in the new element and put the dryer back together.

The dryer was back in service the same visit, with no waiting on parts. If your electric dryer runs but doesn’t get hot, our dryer repair service covers this kind of job in Safety Harbor and the surrounding area.
