Many in Tampa Bay homes are 15, 20, even 30 years old and still worth repairing. We've worked on a number of them locally, from simple fan failures to evaporator leaks, and the repairs below are ours.

Common KitchenAid Built-In problems we fix
Refrigerator and freezer both running warm
Very often a failed condenser fan motor rather than just dirty coils — on older units the blades can warp from heat. It's a same-visit repair when we have the part.
Slowly losing cooling over weeks or months
On older built-ins, the evaporator can wear through — sometimes right where it meets the defrost heater — and leak refrigerant. We find the leak before recommending sealed-system work.
Ice maker and water dispenser both dead
The water inlet valve is a common cause when both stop at once. We check water pressure and the valve before replacing anything.
Door out of alignment or not sealing
Built-in doors carry a lot of weight, especially with custom panels. Worn hinges and gaskets let warm air in and make the unit run harder.

My KitchenAid Superba is 25–30 years old. Can it still be repaired?
Often, yes. We recently got a 30-year-old Superba 42 in Safety Harbor cooling again by replacing a failed condenser fan motor. We'll tell you honestly if a repair doesn't make sense.
